The violin as a vessel of memory
Considered one of the most promising violinists of his generation, Andrés has extensive experience collaborating with prestigious groups and ensembles across the European music scene, inluding Gli Incogniti, Artaserse (Philippe Jaroussky), Armonia Atenea, La Cetra Basel, Il Gusto Barroco, Vesprés de Arnadí, Cantoría, La Guirlande, Il Fervore, El Gran Teatro del Mundo, and Spira Mirabilis among many others.
In 2023, he performed Corelli’s Concerti Grossi with Amandine Beyer and Gli Incogniti. The following year, he appeared in a documentary with Concerto 1700, centered on the exceptional Stradivari instruments of Spain’s royal collection. His upcoming album, featuring Vivaldi’s Trio Sonatas, is scheduled for release in 2026.
An active recording artist, Andrés has contributed to numerous projects for radio and major record labels, both as a chamber musician and orchestral player. He also shares his expertise through teaching, having led workshops on historical performance at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart’s Early Music Department.
He is a frequent guest at some of Europe’s most prestigious festivals, where he has performed alongside renowned artists including Amandine Beyer, Andrea Marcon, Shunske Sato, Ivan Fischer, Fabio Biondi, Nicolas Altstaedt, Rachel Podger, Enrico Onofri, Franco Fagioli, and Philippe Jaroussky.
He completed his musical education in Spain and Germany with a focus on classical violin, and later specialized in Baroque violin at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis under the mentorship of Amandine Beyer, where he earned both his Master’s degree and Postgraduate Diploma.
